Who is Shaah?

Hi! I’m Shaah 💚
Being originally from Source & ✨
On Papatuanuku I was born and raised in Rahui Pokeka Aotearoa also Known as Huntly New Zealand.
I left in 1992 at 20 yrs for my overseas adventure and ended up staying for 33 years. I spent most of my time in Australia (12 years) and the last 21 years in Lutruwita / Tasmania.
It was in the first 8 years of being in Australia that I realized the path I thought I was going to go down was not my destiny and life had other plans for me.
After a long term relationship ended I met my teacher at age 28 and was a student of hers for 12 years. this was like 12 years of initiation after initiation, as layer by layer was stripped of and my true path slowly unfolded to me… choice by choice. My teacher sowed the seeds that helped shape the way I viewed myself, my place here and approached what was unfolding for me to meet and learn / grow from.
The teachings chipped away at the layers, built resilience, and instilled in me the inner resources to meet life’s challenges in a wiser more conscious aware way.
As much as I knew Australia and Tasmania gave me the right conditions to undergo huge changes and transformation and learn what I needed to learn, there was always a knowing I would return Home someday to live, and finally that time has come.
I am now living that dream and so grateful to finally let out that full deep exhalation and sink into a greater place of beingness and belonging as I feel so connected to the Whenua and Ngahere here.
I am originally from the Waikato, and all though I still feel a strong connection with the Whenua, Maunga and Awa Waikato, I now call the Kaimai Ranges Home and base my work in the Kaimai, Tauranga / Papamoa regions.
I bring home with me a great depth and breadth of experience and understanding in the realm of inner process and Healing, it has been a dream to come home and continue this Mahi and journey.
To define me in modern day terms, I am a Trauma-Sensitive Somatic practitioner, with over 25 years experience ‘Holding Space’ for healing through Presence building practices, Breath, Movement, Touch and Deep Listening.
In my unlearning I have learnt that one of the most powerful gifts we can give ourselves and another is that of Presence. The depth of presence we are able to Give, is a direct reflection of how deeply we have met ourselves.
There is a saying that we can only teach that which we have experienced.
Despite doing continuous formal and informal study for the last 30 years, the inner journey and life itself is definitely the greatest Teacher. A deep desire to understand myself and the process from an inner-standing first then an outer-standing has directed the paths I’ve chosen to take in terms of learning and offerings.
Since Being on this path, I have become aware the fragmentation of consciousness and disassociation of different parts. Within and without…worlds within worlds
I have learnt that one of the most important relationships is with the inner child. And that often the energies we resist are actually where the truth is. Where our power is, where Love and wholeness are.
I have learnt that the path of integration brings us back to knowing our wholeness again, and in turn ‘Wholeness Builds Presence’.
I now compassionately innerstand the reasons why I had rejected certain parts of myself in the past. And compensatory and survival strategies and other protector parts were created in the process.
The practices I guide and the processes I facilitate have, overtime, awakened in me a greater sense of wholeness integration and harmony and as a result built a stronger presence inner and outer. They have supported me in relating to myself in much deeper consciously connected & compassionate ways.
The purpose of me sharing them with you is to help you do the same so that every aspect of your life and relationships benefit from Your deepening Presence and growth too.
I know that I am a Kinesthetic learner and a kinesthetic Teacher, meaning I Learn best and most of my insights come through during practice and real time teaching. I’d Love to support you to discover how you learn best and how that fits with your unique path and purpose.
I truly believe Wisdom does come through connection with the body and grounding practices such as Somatic work can really help this connection … there is a deeper intelligence that is only accessed through connection with the Soma both Embodied and field. We can’t think our way out of things … but we can unwind and release our way through via Somatic and self-awareness practices.
Over time on the path and all the practices I teach, I have learnt to soften places that required more tenderness to reach, and strengthen places that needed stronger boundaries to bring my system back into integrity.
This forms the foundation from which I work.
This is the reason I am now able to Hold Deep and Safe Spaces for others going through their own process of change and trans – formation.
SAFETY IS THE KEY … We are so wise, wiser then we know… what stands in our way is not carving the time or allowing the space for the process to fully happen.
There is a great need for safe spaces, dedicated purely to this work, that we can go to drop deep enough to connect with the part of us that knows how to heal. that knows exactly what it needs, that knows how and what and why.
The body is the portal in for this deeper work which is why learning to befreind and remember that safety in an embodied way is the first step.
The process happens in methodical steps, it really is the peeling of the layers of the onion.
Coinciding with Life learning I have been non stop studying for the last 30 years.
below is a list of some of the formal studies I have devoted time and energy into to support the work Beginning from most recent:

It looks like a lot and yes most of my resources have gone into the path of learning. But at the end of the day it’s not the pieces of paper its ‘The Who We Are in Heart and Soul’ that speaks loudest and matters most …

Embracing Transformation Together
The Journey of Self-Discovery
Embarking on a journey of self-discovery involves reconnecting with exiled parts of ourselves. Through somatic practices, we can integrate these aspects into our full being, fostering wholeness and balance. This process encourages deep inner stillness and awareness, allowing for a more profound understanding of our personal narratives and experiences. Together, we can explore the pathways to healing and transformation, embracing the uncertainty that comes with growth.
As we navigate this journey, it is essential to trust in the design and purpose of our experiences. Each workshop and session is crafted to support your unique path, whether through yin yoga, drumming circles, or online courses. By building community and connection, we create a supportive network that enhances our individual and collective healing journeys. Join us in this exploration of self-awareness and mindfulness, as we cultivate a deeper connection to ourselves and each other.
